A vintage assembly of marine gastropod and bivalve shells, comprising various specimens housed in a variety of containers. The collection includes a diverse range of species such as spiny murex shells, including specimens resembling the Venus comb murex (Murex pecten), cone shells (Conus species), cowries (Cypraea species), and elongated tower or screw shells (Terebridae). The specimens are presented in approximately ten small cardboard boxes, including repurposed vintage matchboxes, which are lined with cotton wool batting. The remaining specimens are stored in numerous clear glass and plastic cylindrical pharmaceutical jars. These jars feature translucent press-fit plastic lids with a molded heart outline emblem containing individual capital letters such as N, U, K, and A, with three vertical lines extending from the top. One glass jar retains a partial printed paper label for Digitaline Nativelle, a French pharmaceutical. Handwritten annotations on the cardboard inserts provide geographic data, including one box marked AKABAR, RED SEA. Some cardboard bases feature printed Hebrew text. The entire collection is housed in a modern open corrugated cardboard tray.
