A comprehensive collection of vintage marine shell specimens, dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection comprises an assortment of gastropod and bivalve specimens housed in approximately 24 individual cardboard boxes and a circular plastic container, all presented within a larger green-patterned cardboard tray. Specimens are primarily mounted on original cotton wool beds, with micro-specimens secured in glass vials and tubes. The collection is accompanied by highly detailed, hand-written scientific and locality labels. Notable specimens identified include Cypraeidae (cowries) such as Cypraea pulchra (from Massawa, Eritrea, 1928), Cypraea spurca spurca (Haifa, Israel), and Cypraea magerrones (Queensland, Australia, 1939). Other taxa include Dentalium dentale tusk shells, Bela aculeata, Venus gallina, Glycymeris pilosa, Colostoma conicum, and Thais haemastoma. Label information indicates academic and private provenance, including mentions of Prof. Barash and the Collection Salvia.
