Now a retired Trawler man from Blyth J.E. Thompson has produced cullercoates bay costal scene, signed in the lower right corner. The scene depicts the beach at Cullercoats at low tide, with traditional fishing cobles resting on the sand in the foreground. Small figures are visible walking along the shoreline. The background features the distinctive architectural skyline of Cullercoats, including the Watch House and a row of townhouses situated atop the seawall and cliffs. The painting is presented in a cream-coloured mount and a dark wood frame with a gilt inner slip.
