A Japanese mixed-media landscape painting on paper, dating to the Taisho period (circa 1910s-1920s). The composition depicts a coastal scene featuring the silhouette of Mount Fuji in the background, with a traditional dwelling situated beneath a large pine tree and a flowering tree in the foreground. The mid-ground includes two sailboats on calm water, with birds in flight above. The work is executed in ink and pigments with raised gold lacquer highlights applied to the architectural elements, foliage, and vessels. Two red square artist seals are present in the lower right corner. The reverse of the backboard bears a handwritten inscription in ink: PAINTING IN GOLD LAQUER 1910s TO 1920s. The work is presented in a gilt-finished frame with a black mount.
