A mid-20th century military-style signal flashlight, attributed to the style of European military equipment from the Second World War period. The item consists of a rectangular metal body finished in a dark grey paint. It is equipped with a rotating lens assembly featuring clear, green, and red or purple glass filters, controlled by levers on either side of the housing. The reverse features metal belt clips and an attachment loop that has been reinforced with a section of striped blue and white fabric. No manufacturer marks are clearly legible on the exterior of the casing. Information from the seller is that this WW2 item is thought to have belonged to, A M Crozier PTE who was born 29th December 1905. Who served in the local and then National Fire Service (AFS) part time from January 1939 until 17/8/1944.He joined the armed forces at the age of 38 on 15/2/1944 and was posted out in Europe, It believed this was collected when he was in Germany.
