A pair of Royal Crown Derby fine bone china bird paperweights, consisting of a Puffin and a Hummingbird. Each figurine is decorated in the characteristic Imari style using polychrome enamels and extensive gilding. The Puffin is depicted in a standing position, featuring an imbricated red pattern on the head and breast, teal and red detailed wings, and a floral spray motif around the base. The Hummingbird is modelled in a crouching pose, covered in an intricate scale pattern in shades of red, dark blue, and gold leaf. Both pieces are fitted with an original gold-toned stopper, indicating first-quality production, embossed with the Royal Crown Derby factory mark. The Puffin base bears a red printed factory mark and the date code Z for 1997.
