A studio pottery stoneware bowl of rounded form, featuring a thick, slightly inverted rolled rim and a short circular foot. The exterior is decorated with a wide central band of incised geometric motifs, including stylised radiating sunburst designs, set against a pale cream ground. The remaining exterior surfaces exhibit a heavily textured, volcanic or lava-like finish with a colour gradient transitioning from a muted blue-grey to a warm terracotta orange. The interior is finished with a thick, high-gloss variegated glaze in tones of teal, olive green, and amber, showing pronounced intentional crazing throughout. A dark stamped maker’s mark is present on the underside within the foot rim, although the characters are not clearly legible. Similar examples are frequently attributed to the maker Henianay.
