This collection features a fine china tea-for-one set produced by Lesser and Pavey Ltd for the Leonardo Collection, featuring the Pimpernel pattern by William Morris. The set comprises a small teapot designed to nest within a single teacup, which rests upon a matching saucer. All pieces are decorated with a transfer-printed floral and foliage design in shades of green, cream, and yellow with gilt-lined rims. The base of the saucer is clearly marked with the manufacturer details and a 2019 copyright date.
Accompanying the tea set is an unglazed ceramic mortar and pestle by Mason Cash. The circular mortar features a pouring lip and bears a black stamped mark on the underside for Mason Cash, Church Gresley, England. An incised number 1 is also visible on the base.
The collection is completed by a boxed set of dark wood chopsticks and matching rests. Each piece is embellished with sterling silver inlays and bands featuring a skeletal fish motif. The silver bands are stamped with the 925 purity mark. The set is presented in a dark-stained, hinged wooden storage box.
