A large and varied collection of marine gastropods, bivalves, and echinoid tests, primarily collected circa 1960. The collection comprises an assortment of individual specimens housed in approximately 40 vintage cardboard trays, several miniature glass vials with cork or plastic plugs, a plastic tub containing scallop shells and sea urchin tests, and a large bag of unsorted loose shells. Many specimens are presented on cotton wool bedding within repurposed mid-20th-century Israeli stationery boxes, including brands such as Gilad and Deron. The collection is notable for its documentation, featuring extensive handwritten locality labels identifying specimens from the Gulf of Aqaba (Red Sea), Eilat, and the Mediterranean coast near Haifa (Kiryat Haim). Identified species according to the collector’s labels include Solen vagina, Donax trunculus, Cypraea nebrita, and Conus lividus. Several labels indicate these were field-collected by the original owner in December 1960.
