A large and varied collection of gastropod and bivalve shells alongside sea urchin tests, primarily collected from the Red Sea region. The specimens are presented in four vintage plastic yogurt tubs and numerous repurposed vintage cardboard containers, including Israeli matchboxes featuring Hebrew text such as איכות מעולה. Identified species include violet sea snails (Janthina sp.), cowrie shells (Cypraeidae), olive shells (Olividae), and slender turret shells (Turritellidae or Terebridae), as well as small green sea urchin tests. Several specimens are accompanied by handwritten paper slips; one slip is clearly inscribed Red Sea / Shells received / from / A. Singer / 18/1/75. Other slips bear the date 18/1/75 and partial text reading Parker / Ea…. The shells are generally loose, some resting on cotton-wool pads within the boxes.
