A collection of five vintage Goebel Hummel hand-painted ceramic figurines depicting traditional stylised children. Each figurine is individually decorated with underglaze colours. The group comprises:
Good Friends (Hum 182): A young girl wearing a red headscarf seated on a grassy mound, holding small orange flowers, with a small kid goat standing behind her.
Doll Doctor (Hum 127): A young boy wearing spectacles on his forehead and a white lab coat, looking down at a small doll lying at his feet on the circular base.
Little Helpers (Hum 73): Two young girls standing side-by-side; one wears a dark brown dress and carries a woven basket, the other wears a red dress with a green apron.
Boy with Toy Horse: A young boy in green and cream clothing holding a walking stick, standing alongside a toy wooden horse on a wheeled platform.
Busy Bee (Hum 97): A young girl with pigtails holding an embroidery hoop displaying a stitched bee, with her left index finger raised.
The undersides feature the blue printed TMK-3 Stylised Bee trademark (a stylised V containing a small blocky bee shape) above the text W. Germany, indicating a production period of circa 1960 to 1972. There are also incised model numbers and various painters’ marks on the bases.
Height: various, heights range approximately from 9 cm to 13 cm.
