Victor Noble Rainbird (British, 1889-1936), Coastal Landscape. This atmospheric work is executed in watercolour with gouache highlights on paper. The composition depicts a turbulent sea with crashing waves in the foreground, a flock of birds in flight, and a mist-shrouded headland in the distance. The painting is signed VICTOR.NOBLE.RAINBIRD in the lower-left corner. It is presented in a double mount with a gilt-lined inner border and a moulded gilt wood frame.
