A mid-20th-century maritime painting by Le Haine Vic, executed in pen, ink, and watercolour with white gouache highlights on paper. The composition depicts a trio of small rowboats beached on a sandy shore at low tide in Cullercoats, Tyne and Wear. One boat is positioned on a two-wheeled trailer beside a curved, dark stone harbour wall topped with a row of vertical bollards. The work is characterised by graphic line work and atmospheric colour washes typical of the artist’s style. It is inscribed in the lower right corner Cullercoats – Le Haine Vic. The painting is housed in a glazed wooden frame featuring a gilt inner slip and an off-white mount.
