A traditional British school watercolour on paper depicting a coastal landscape of Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, Northumberland. The scene is captured at low tide, with the foreground showing detailed tidal flats, seaweed, and shallow pools of water. A clinker-built rowing boat is moored in the midground, with various other vessels and sailing boats scattered towards the horizon. The castle is situated on its rocky outcrop in the background under an overcast, wash-heavy sky featuring seagulls in flight. The work is signed J. HUSH in the lower right corner. It is presented in a cream double mount and housed in a dark-stained wood frame with a gilt inner slip.
