1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of The Auction House North Shields website and services. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Auction Rules

All auctions conducted through our platform are subject to the following rules:

  • All bids are legally binding and cannot be retracted once placed.
  • The highest bidder at the close of the auction shall be the purchaser.
  • The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid without giving a reason.
  • A buyers premium may be added to the hammer price. The rate will be clearly displayed before bidding begins.
  • All items are sold as seen. It is the responsibility of the bidder to satisfy themselves as to the condition of any lot before bidding.

3. Registration

To participate in auctions, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account details up to date.

4. Payment

Payment is due within 5 working days of the auction ending. We accept bank transfer and card payments. Failure to pay may result in your account being suspended and legal action being taken to recover the debt.

5. Collection & Delivery

Items must be collected within 7 working days of payment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed. We can arrange delivery for an additional fee — please contact us for a quote.

6. Returns & Refunds

All sales are final. Items are sold as described and as seen. We do not offer refunds unless an item has been significantly misdescribed. Any disputes must be raised within 48 hours of collection or delivery.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Auction House North Shields shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the item in question.

8. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We take the protection of your personal information seriously.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting.
