Work by C.J.W Winten – Cornelius Jason Walter Winter (British, 1820-1891). A 19th-century topographical scene executed in watercolour with gouache highlights on paper. The composition depicts a multi-gabled farmhouse with figures seated at a table beneath a porch and poultry foraging in the foreground. The work is signed C.J.W. Winter. del. . The mount is inscribed in ink Cornelius Jason Walter Winter and the dates 1820-91. The painting is housed in a later more modern wooden frame with a wide brown mount.
