Wates, Multi-tool Pocket Knife, and Assorted Antique Curiosities, Late 19th to Mid-20th Century
Description
This collection features a diverse assortment of antique and vintage tools and personal effects. It includes a Wates Volt-Amp Test Meter with a black crinkle-finish metal case and cloth-insulated wiring. Also present is a large multi-blade folding pocket knife with natural stag horn scales, nickel silver bolsters, and a shield-shaped inlay, featuring a primary clip-point blade, corkscrew, and awl. Navigational and personal items include a brass-cased pocket compass with a paper dial and a heavy brass curb-link fob chain with T-bar, a blue guilloché enamel propelling pendant pencil, and a cast brass relief plaque of a bull’s head. The lot is completed by a leather-wrapped travelling ink case, a vintage cardboard tube for Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills, and two small black decorative boxes with silver-toned and gold-coloured lid motifs.
