15 Carat Yellow Gold Late Victorian Garnet and Diamond Cluster Ring 2.95g gross
Description
A late Victorian 15 carat yellow gold garnet and diamond cluster ring. The design features a central oval-cut deep red garnet, likely of the almandine variety, surrounded by a cluster of four pear-cut garnets and two round old-cut diamonds. The gemstones are held in individual claw settings within an ornate head featuring a beaded border. The ring is finished with decoratively carved and bifurcated shoulders. The interior of the band is fully hallmarked with the 15 and CT marks for 15 carat gold, the wheatsheaf town mark for Chester, and the maker’s mark T.H.
