Lladró Porcelain Figurine, "An Apron Full of Joy" (2428), c. 2000
Description
This fine porcelain figurine, titled “An Apron Full of Joy” (Spanish: “Tiempo de Flores”), is a distinguished example from the renowned Spanish manufacturer Lladró. Modelled by Marco Antonio Noguerón, the piece features a young girl dressed in a textured blue ruffled bodice and a long, flared pink skirt adorned with a floral hem. She is depicted in a charming pose, holding her apron which overflows with a cluster of meticulously crafted red and pink roses and three small kittens. The figurine is executed in the “Gres” finish, characterised by its matte texture and soft, earthy colours. The base of the sculpture bears the official blue Lladró tulip mark, “HAND MADE IN SPAIN”, and the copyright “© DAISA 2000”. Additional incised markings include the model number “2428” and “C-24 G”. The item is accompanied by its original cardboard shipping box, which retains the matching product label for model “12428” and barcode information.
