Lladró Springtime in Japan Glazed Porcelain Figurine Group Model 1445 Circa 1984
Description
A large and impressive Lladró glazed porcelain figurine group titled Springtime in Japan, model number 1445. The composition features two women in traditional Japanese attire positioned upon a decorative arched bridge. The scene depicts one seated figure and one standing figure holding a small bowl containing a delicate blossom. At the base of the bridge is a white swan amongst a cluster of intricate, hand-applied porcelain flowers in shades of pink and white. The figurine is finished in the classic Lladró pastel palette with fine hand-painted facial details. The underside bears the official blue Lladró backstamp, marked HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1984, with incised model number 1445 and production symbols B-13 S. This piece is a significant example of the brand’s orientalist themes and complex multi-figure arrangements.
