An original watercolour on paper by John C. Currie, depicting fishing boats moored at North Shields Fish Quay. The composition features several trawlers in the foreground, rendered with detailed linework and tonal washes of blue, grey, and ochre. The industrial structure of the quay is visible in the background. The work is signed and dated JOHN C. CURRIE 86/ in the lower right corner. The painting is set within a cream-coloured mount and a narrow, gold-toned metal frame. The reverse bears a handwritten title label and a printed gold foil label with the artist’s address at 15 Cresswell Avenue, Preston Village, North Shields.
